Biography: 

Dr. Linda Wang earned her undergraduate degree from U.C. Berkeley, and obtained her
masters, as well as her Doctor of Musical Arts in Classical Piano Performance from Manhattan
School of Music. She was an adjunct faculty member at Manhattan School of Music until her
relocation to California. Dr. Wang also continues to teach annual summer sessions at U.C. Berkeley,
where she heads the piano department and oversees private piano lessons, theory, and ear training at
the Young Musicians’ Program.

Dr. Wang has taught, performed, and lectured extensively in New York, California, and also at
Ohio University, where her husband was a professor of theory and
composition. At Manhattan School of Music, Dr. Wang represented her graduating class to receive
the prestigious Helen Cohn Award for her outstanding contribution to the school. She has been an
active performer with contemporary ensembles in both New York and California, premiering many
new works by the composers of today, and touring extensively throughout Italy, Israel, Jordan, and
the United States. In addition to her busy performance and teaching schedule, she is active
adjudicator at many competitions throughout California and her students have won numerous prizes
and awards.
